NMC Recordings, now celebrating its 35th anniversary, is an award-winning music charity dedicated to recording and releasing contemporary classical music by UK and Irish composers. Founded by composer Colin Matthews OBE in 1988, its mission is to champion new classical music in its recorded form and support the next generation of composers and listeners. As an Arts Council England National Portfolio organisation, NMC plays a vital role in the new music sector: without NMC, hundreds of important works simply would not be recorded and heard by audiences across the world. As a charity, sales income is reinvested into new projects.
