The Pearl 'Quantz' 665 flute is an enhanced student-level instrument with the added benefit of a solid silver headjoint, enabling student players to create a warm and responsive sound.

The flutes in the 665-series are made from nickel silver and all of them are silver plated, giving the flute its shine and at the same time protecting the material from corrosion. Quantz flutes are provided with French pointed key arms, once regarded as solely the domain of handmade flutes, which provide increased stability and enhance the quality of the mechanism; a unique feature amongst student flutes. Their trademark 'Pinless Mechanism' ensures less wear and tear of the construction from perspiration and body acids, preventing it from corrosion, and the 'One-Piece-Core-Bar' construction results in more playing comfort and stability of the mechanism.
