This debut album, was first released on Decca in 1965, when they leapt to fame with ‘She’s Not There’. The smash hit is a highlight, alongside a selection of R&B ‘covers’ that typify the sort of earthy material British bands played in the early 1960s, with renditions of such R&B favourites as ‘Road Runner’ and ‘I Got My Mojo Working’, alongside many fine original compositions by Rod Argent and bassist Chris White.
