Paul Bonneau wrote several pieces for saxophone which are still regarded around the world as standard reference works. His Caprice en forme de valse for solo saxophone (1948) enjoyed international renown; virtuosity is at the heart of this fantasia, which is much more a concert work than a simple étude.

Lyrita Publishing | Cello & Piano Reduction

Lloyd completed his Cello Concerto in July 1997, a year before his death at the age of 85. This autumnal piece can be discerned as a wistful, valedictory quality, with feelings of sorrow and regret surfacing repeatedly.

You can find more works by the composer here.

Orchestra & Ensembles

Of particular interest amongst the numerous sets of instrumental duos composed by François Devienne is the fifth ‘livre’ comprising six ‘duos concertants’ for the uncommon pairing of flute and viola. As is generally the case with Devienne’s music, the duos are imbued with graceful melodies and elegant harmonic progressions that validate the composer’s moniker, ‘the French Mozart’.
