In the Concerto Op. 9 No. 9 the violins are played in unison in the fast outer movements. After the first movement, which shows the typically Venetian dominant triad motif, there follows a three-part piano movement in which the triad motif occasionally appears as a contrast. As usual, the five-part notation is not exceeded in the Allegro movements, while in the slow middle movement it becomes six-part in a slightly imitative style. Since the figurations of the solo oboes are well contrasted with those of the strings, the double bass can play throughout the piano sections as well.
