Regardless of the conflict, history is replete with stories that highlight the faith of love, the fire of battle, and the hope of return. Inspired by the interactions of men and women as they embraced loved ones on either side of the journey, Smith started his epic with "Far Away My Love Has Gone," a song for treble voices.
