This is a setting of the ordinary of the mass for choir (SATB with occasional divisi) without the ‘Credo’ and is written to be performed without accompaniment, where possible. This setting develops from a central ‘call and response’ theme which is borrowed from the typical ‘precentor and congregation’ prayers and chants to be found in The Church worldwide. Whilst this setting benefits from being performed in sacred venues it could also easily be performed in concert as a ‘feature’ piece for a choir of a good standard.
