1. Dona Nobis Pacem, 2.Dies Irae, 3.Adon Olam

Composed for Michelle Nova and La Nova Singers, these three settings are well-contrasted in mood, style and texture. The quasi-oriental sound of “Dona Nobis Pacem” with the sound of Tibetan Singing Bowl and ethereal harmonies is then followed by a resolute setting of “Dies Irae” complete with tolling bells. The final setting of a Hebrew Psalm is lyrical and sustained, with ever-changing harmonies. Towards the end, tubular bells toll inexorably until the ecstatic conclusion.
